I AM SO SORRY TO INFORM EVERYONE THAT LITTLE ROSARIO PASSED AWAY LAST NIGHT (Feb 2).  HER PARENTS FOUND HER UNRESPONSIVE AND COULD NOT ROUSE HER.  AS FAR AS WE KNOW SHE PASSED IN PEACE.

I have just come back from her funeral - a very, very emotional time.  Her parents are obviously distraught beyond words, but between hugs and tears, Rosario's mum wanted everyone who helped to know that your contribution helped a lot in making Rosario's life more comfortable.

I last saw Rosario at Christmas and the family were in good spirits.  Her family have been so devoted to Rosario's welfare and comfort.  There was never a day where Rosario was not surrounded with love.

From Rosario's family and myself, a big thank you for the difference you made in this short, but precious, life.

WE DID IT!

The appeal for Rosario is offcially over.  We reached our target and bought things which had a very pressing need and which the family could not afford.  The family are still managing on-going expenses, but we hope these purchases will make looking after Rosario that much easier.  We are not abandoning her, it is just now the immediate needs of others have to take precedence.  Yes, we have a new project - check it out here... http://prylett.wix.com/help4fatima

Here is Rosario and her mum, Maria, in the Ajijic plaza last week.  Seeing them out and about prompted me to update the page and let you know what we accomplished.

And we accomplished a lot!!

Check out the Expenses page to see where the money went.  Life is so much easier for the family.  I would like to say that Rosario has made some improvement, but that would be optimistic thinking.  But Maria recognizes very positive signs from Rosario when she is put in the stroller.  Because of the large pneumatic tires and suspension, riding over the cobbled strrets does not alarm Rosario.  Remember, before this, she spent most of her time on a bed.  Now Maria can manage to take her out and let her feel the sun and the breeze on her face and she can hear the sound of the village.

Rosario has been hospitalized once this past year for a chest infection which lasted a couple of weeks.

We sorted the family's dental problems out.  Her brother, Christopher, is training with a third division football team.

In some way, I am sure Rosario is proud of him.

Don't forget to check out Fatima's page.  Knowing it never ends is no reason to stop.
